Xiaomi Mi A1 is the first ever Android One smartphone by Xiaomi, in collaboration with Google they have launched this budget smartphone that comes with the latest Android 7.1.2 out of the box. Mainly focused on the Indian market, the phone comes with a tagline “Created by Xiaomi, powered by Google”. As per the company, this would be the first smartphone to receive Android P, which no one has heard anything about. The Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone users will get Android Oreo upgrade by the end of this year.
Well the Xiaomi Mi A1 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and 4 GB of RAM, that makes it a killer deal for just $250. It is packed with 64 GB of internal storage that can be extended up to 128 GB by using microSD card. The 3080 mAh battery is definitely a plus point as the battery backup of this smartphone is dope.
The performance of this device is powerful indeed. Android one hasn’t been a huge success so Google is trying another luck in collaboration with Xiaomi to flip the present scenario. It’s the first time when you’ll get stock Android experience on a Xiaomi device, all because of Android One. Personally, I haven’t been a fanboy of MIUI, always preferred stock Android. This step from Xiaomi is great according to me and I have been using Xiaomi Mi A1 since a couple of weeks and the performance of this device is pretty great. I have noticed no lag or any glitches whatsoever.
Now coming to the camera, it is powered by a dual rear camera – 12 MP telephoto lens + 12MP wide angle lens on the rear side that helps in capturing some good portrait shots and 5 MP front facing camera to capture selfies. Honestly, the camera quality is pretty amazing for such a price, beats many smartphones camera that costs way higher than this buddy.
The phone does charges over USB Type C, does not take much time to charge 100 from 0. The design looks elegant and it is quite comfortable to hold. The hardware quality is perfect and packed with amazing specs, it is definitely a killer deal to go with Xiaomi Mi A1. You can buy it from Tomtop at $250, shipping is free of course.
