Lenovo is a very known brand from China headquartered in Beijing. It manufactures computers, tablets, smartphones, electronic storage devices etc. It’s my first product review of a Lenovo gadget. Lenovo TAB 2 A8-50 Tablet is a 8 inched capacitive touchscreen with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM. Lenovo TAB 2 A8 comes with Android 5.0 (lollipop) out of the box which is a little outdated. It is a low budget tablet, falls under the price range of $144 that can be bought from everbuying.net which also provides worldwide free shipping. The screen size is great and the body is made up of plastic. Considering the price range, the tablet could be a good choice as it also has a brand value of Lenovo. Is it worth to buy this Lenovo TAB 2 A8-50 Tablet? Let’s find out.
Display and Design
The design of Lenovo TAB 2 A8-50 Tablet is not much good, as it is made up of a plastic body and don’t have a much attractive design. If you are looking for a brand oriented tablet, then this might attract you as it a product of Lenovo. This tablet has an 8-inch capacitive display with 1280 x 800 resolution (HD). The touch response is pretty good, though you won’t get any additional protection like Gorilla Glass or something, as the phone is priced at just $144. You can’t get everything under this price range especially if the product is from Lenovo. It has an ultra thin high-transparent touch screen, that makes the images to look clearer and brighter.
This tablet is really a very portable one as it has really a very light weight due to its plastic body and you can carry it easily due to its light weight. You can keep it by your side so when you need it, you’ll be reading, listening to music, watching videos, all in a snap.
Now coming to the main part, the Lenovo TAB 2 A80-50 is powered by a quad-core processor and 1 GB RAM, looks like a little out dated but it can be compromised due to its low price. Moreover, it’s a trusted brand’s product. The performance is pretty well though it heats sometimes during gaming. But it is actually all good, as the temperature was not that much.
The amazing thing is that with such lower price, the phone has a dual camera. 5.0 MP rear camera to shoot videos and capture pictures and 2.0 MP front facing the camera to take selfies. The camera quality is just fine, not much good. All I can say that it has just a fine camera but compared to other within the same price range, then I must say it really over performs the competitors.
The tablet has got an internal memory of 16 GB which can easily be extended up to 48 GB (16 GB + 32 GB) via memory card. The tablet doesn’t have any OTG support so you can’t plugin and use your pen drive any time you want.
Now coming to the battery life of this tablet, the tablet has a battery capacity of 4290 mAh that will give you around 8 hours backup after a single charge. The battery life is just average, as it has an HD display and 8-inch screen so you might face some problem with the battery capacity of this tablet.
