One Plus 7 vs One Plus 7 Pro : Differences compared

The One Plus 7 Pro came out a few weeks before the One Plus 7 and it was unexpected of One Plus to launch a phone of this price range. One Plus is known to deliver quality products under the budget, but this time they launched their flagship smartphone at a price tag of $ 699. Just after a few weeks, One Plus 7 was launched at a price tag of $499, a difference of $200! I’ll be sharing a good deal that you should not miss at the end of this post if you buy it from Gearbest. Is it worth spending extra few hundred dollars just to get the “Pro” tag, let’s find out in this post of One Plus 7 vs One Plus 7 Pro.

Is it really worth spending an extra $200?

The design of One Plus 7 Pro is much better than the One Plus 7. The dramatically improved display without any notch is a thumbs up. With the better hardware all around, the 7 pro also has stereo speakers and those are pretty good. With minimal bezel and lack of a notch, makes it more premium than the later One Plus 7. The back has a triple-lens camera stacked vertically in the middle but the One Plus 7 has only two camera setup. I am personally not a fan of drop notch, the standard rectangular notch was fine with me.

The major upgrade is the display, 7 pro has a 90 Hz screen refresh rate, that dramatically smooths out all motion on-screen – better and smooth scrolling, better gameplay, everything will be smooth and fast. After using 7 Pro screen, it’s really difficult to get back to One Plus 7.

With a better and bigger screen, clearly One Plus 7 Pro is a winner in this department, so let’s capture the major differences and try to portray in short.

Final Verdict: One Plus 7 vs One Plus 7 Pro

Apart from the differences mentioned above, there is no other difference between the two smartphones. Both have the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset and Adreno 640 chipset so you won’t see any difference in the performance but as the One Plus 7 pro has 90Hz refresh rate, the display and functions will be smoother in the 7 Pro when compared to One Plus 7. So if there’s One Plus 7 vs One Plus 7 Pro, no major difference you will see for an extra $200.

Other than that there’s no difference between the two, so the choice is yours if you have extra $200 to spend for better display, camera, and design, go with One Plus 7 Pro. Else you can save your $200 and compromise with those factors. Well, I shouldn’t call it a compromise!

One Plus 7 Pro is an easy choice in terms of its Display and camera but only if the cost isn’t a factor.
